Our Small Hands books are safe from birth. In the first weeks we recommend starting with our black-and-white designs, because maximum contrast supports developing eyesight best. From around 3 months, when your baby begins to take in colours and shapes more consciously, is the ideal moment to move on to our colour editions. Of course you can start with colour from day one without any concern: because every element is firmly stitched and there are no small parts that could be swallowed, nothing stands in the way of safe discovery from the very first day.
To protect the durability and the fine details of our books, they are certified for gentle hand washing at a maximum of 40 °C. Many of our customers use a laundry bag on a delicate cycle for extra-careful cleaning, but our official recommendation is hand washing, so that shape and function last.
