Can my child play with it alone, or do I always need to be there?

Our books encourage independence in the Montessori spirit, so children can often stay absorbed on their own for a surprisingly long time. That said, they are also wonderful bridges for time together: use the pages to invent stories, name colours or do first counting exercises. Depending on the moment, the book turns from quiet solo play into a shared family experience.

Are the books really „quiet“?

Yes, the name says it all: our quiet books are designed to create a calm, focused play environment. That also makes them the perfect companion in the car, on a plane or in a waiting room.

Why are your books based on the Montessori principle?

Following the guiding idea „help me to do it myself“, our books support independent learning without pressure to perform. Thanks to the hands-on design, children find solutions entirely on their own and learn from their own attempts, without being able to do anything „wrong“. This built-in self-correction strengthens confidence and lets every child develop intuitively, through play, at their very own pace.

What do I do if a play element gets lost?

Because our books are made for intensive discovery and years of play, we've planned ahead: if an element does go missing in the bustle of daily life despite all care, there's no need to worry. Just get in touch with us directly. We offer a straightforward replacement service for individual parts on all our books, so your quiet book stays complete and ready to play for generations.

Which motor skills are supported here?

Our quiet books for 1–3 years focus on training fine motor skills. With hook-and-loop fastenings, buttons and zips your child learns, through play, the movements it will need later in daily life – getting dressed, for example. How long does a child typically stay occupied with it?

Our quiet books are designed as „quiet islands“. The hands-on activities build focus and patience, so many children play deeply concentrated for long stretches – entirely without a screen.

What's the best way to clean the books?

Our books are made for real family life: light marks wipe off the quiet books quickly and easily with a damp cloth.

How do the quiet books for 1–3 years and 3–6 years differ?

The main difference is the scope and the difficulty of the activities: our 3–6 collection has 16 pages instead of 10, so it is considerably more extensive and designed for the growing abilities of older children. The puzzles are more complex and train fine motor and cognitive skills even further, with tasks such as tying bows, counting and trickier fastenings. We recommend the large books from 3 years, but your child can start earlier. Because our books are made so safely that nothing can be swallowed or „done wrong“, every child learns at their own pace, entirely in the Montessori spirit. In the end it is a parent's decision whether to start straight away with a large book or – what we recommend for the best development – to build the learning steps deliberately across the different age stages.
